This caddy to be used in CF-53 laptop to add secondary storage, and it has to replace optical drive. Also it might be used as primary storage device if main HDD or caddy is not available. To install it you will have to remove your optical drive (DVD) and reattach rear bracket from DVD drive to this caddy. Also you may want to transfer face plate from DVD drive to the caddy to make it flush with the chassis, but it is optional.
